Photo of Dr. Susan Kissel

Dr. Susan Kissel, DVM

Dr. Susan graduated from Ross University in 2009. After working as an associate in various practices in Vermont and Maine she purchased Mount Ascutney Veterinary Services in April of 2019. She loves living and working in a small town and making personal connections with her clients while helping to keep their pets healthy. Her interests in practice include internal medicine and behavior. She is especially focused on low stress handling techniques for pets, and hopes to make vet visits more enjoyable for everyone – humans and animals alike. Dr. Susan shares her home with three Australian shepherds. She also has a Morgan mare that she loves riding. When she is not riding, working, or playing with her dogs she hikes, snowshoes, and generally enjoys the outdoors any way she can.
